Our Field Officer Bio’s

At electrogroup our Field Officers play an important role for both Host Employers & Apprentices. The Field Officers are always on hand to answer questions, assist with any issues & to provide support through mentoring & monitoring – An electrogroup Field Officer is always available to provide support about work, study or anything really! 

Field Officers also support New Apprentices with respect to their education, professional development and personal support; as well as supporting and mentoring Host Employers in regards to best employer practices and their responsibilities when employing our Apprentices. 

Our Field Officer’s are…

  • Brett Kelly

    Brett is an Electrical tradesperson who has been involved in the electrical trades industry for over 37 years. With his extensive exposure to a variety of industries, including Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, Materials Handling and Construction. Brett is very committed to providing quality apprentices to industry.

  • Summer Carder

    Summer has been employed with electrogroup  for well over 4 years in administration and operations and now brings her wealth of experience to managing the needs of Host Employers and Apprentices. Summer previously worked in Real Estate for approximately 10 years and during this time achieved qualifications in Certificate IV Property & Certificate III in Small Business and Administration.

  • James Pascoe

    James is an electrical industry professional with a diverse range of experience gained through working in the Rail and Aviation sectors over a period of 30 years. His area of expertise includes high voltage, aviation lighting and rail traction. He has considerable supervisory and management experience holding a Diploma of Business in Frontline Management. James is a qualified trainer/assessor who is committed to quality outcomes in terms of training & provision of apprentices to the industry.

  • Kim Shortland

    Kim has been employed with electrogroup for over 8 years working across various roles including, Administration, Office Management, Executive Assistant, Recruitment, Marketing, Return to Work Coordinator as well as serving on electrogroup's WHS Committees. With this experience Kim has the ideal position to help, guide and assist apprentices throughout their apprenticeships.

  • Stephen Mudford

    Stephen has been in the electricity industry for over 40 years after spending 36 years with ActewAGL as a Linesman, supervising and installing suburban reticulation, reactive management and managing teams in servicing, metering and streetlighting. Stephen is also a Ngunnawal elder and is part of a “Caring for Country” committee with the ACT Government that involves promoting Ngunnawal Country and Peoples, discussing proposed new developments do not impact on sensitive cultural sites. Stephen is committed to the future of the industry in guiding Apprentices on their journey.
